Chris Stone was born in El Dorado and returned to live in her hometown just before graduating high school. Although she’s lived in other Arkansas cities and in other states, El Dorado will always be her home.
Chris attended college later in life with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. Although she soon found herself on another path that didn’t involve using her college degree. Instead, Chris opened a small business in El Dorado selling art supplies. From her shop, she began to teach paint and drawing classes, conduct group workshops, host paint and sip events which she continues to host today.
Later on, while working for a local credit union, Chris was introduced to Dave Ramsey’s debt elimination and budgeting tools, and a passion was sparked for helping people reorder their financial lives.
Today, Chris’s passion extends to her community where she volunteers with UCAPS (Union County Animal Protection Society) and SAAC (Sour Arkansas Arts Center) as well as with a local improv group.
Now that her son, Corban is grown, Chris has begun directing all her attention to her five dogs. Corban doesn’t seem to mind this new development.
